The more time that is dedicated to the essays, the better. The application deadlines of the schools/colleges to which your student is applying will drive the timetable of composing through completion. You can also engage the services of an educational consultant to provide a personalized plan for your child if you need further support during the application process.

Based on the discovery call, I’ll determine the priorities for the path forward. First and foremost, establishing a rapport and a connection with your student is my goal. I want to understand what lights them up and who they are. By building trust and getting to know each other, we can dive into the work together. I take a collaborative approach with the student as their guide and not someone who is expecting an outcome, like a grade. I want to make it a fun process for your student and leave them empowered by the work they put into writing their best.

Not to worry, I can be there for you! All it takes is some dedicated time and desire from the student and we can knock out the work. However, due to the additional time I’ll need to devote to meeting the deadline, the services will be priced differently and can be discussed during the discovery call.

I like to collaborate with my students using Google Docs because the real time exchange is efficient and centralizes the work we do together. Based on the complexity of the editing, I can usually respond within 24-48 hours. If the editing is needed within 3 weeks of the application deadline, the essay editing services will be priced differently.

My editorial services also extend to partnerships with educational consultants and high school college advisors when I can be a part of the extended team to support student applications.

The essay writing process may challenge some kids to dig deeper than the standard, more transactional writing in school that they’re used to. Furthermore, many haven’t been asked the questions that essay prompts put forth and aren’t quite sure how to express their personal experiences in the essay format. In my experience, I’ve seen that generating content that is personal can be a new process for a lot of teenagers. That’s where I come in! I can guide them to having an abundance of things to share and help them organize their thoughts. As a result, the student can both write a meaningful essay AND grow personally in the process. Those lightbulb moments are what I live for!

Your student got in to the school of his/her/their choice but the anticipated change in academic standards might be daunting. Rest assured that there is time to work the writing muscle on the runway between the current school and the next! During the latter part of the spring semester, I can step in to review and coach your student with current assignments. Over the summer, I can give them a variety of writing exercises that will be relevant to their summer activities while still priming their writing skills. When the new school year tees up, I can be in the wings as a tutor to support them with writing across their subjects. This is a highly personalized service and I am willing to explore the best approach according to your student’s needs.
